Glen Ellyn, Illinois.—June, 2007—Kinsey & Kinsey, Inc. today announced that the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County has licensed Microsoft Dynamics – GP (formally Great Plains) to help improve operational efficiency.
The unified Microsoft system will replace the legacy business system, which was shared with the county and could not support real time reporting or period closings. The Microsoft system will help the Forest Preserve consolidate its financial, budgeting and procurement processes onto a single system while gaining business intelligence functionality and organization-wide reporting.
Specifically, the Microsoft Dynamics – GP Financial and Purchase Order Suites will help automate the Forest Preserves material ordering processes, enabling users to compare actual, budget, and encumbrance amounts in real time. With the Microsoft Dynamics – GP eRequisition application, the Forest Preserve staff will be able to enter material requisitions for routing and approval to the purchasing department, preventing the manually handle paper request.
A customized .NET budgeting solution configured specifically for the Microsoft Dynamics - GP Financial Management Suite will provide the Forest Preserve with a centralized budgeting system that supports multiple users across all of their facilities.
