By creating 'What-if' scenarios prior to actually making changes to LS you can see the impact of any potential change on your user community.  Simply reassigning User/Role or Role/Security Class assignments within our application to see the effects of a security change.  When working with form and rule changes you can also check for potential Segregation of Duties conflicts.
